Santa Claus

Such a beautiful beaded Santa Claus may be the perfect Christmas gift or decoration. You can hang it onto a Christmas tree or give it as a gift to any friend.

To make this Santa, we need:
- beads #11: red, white, beige and black,
- 1 white bead of 6 mm in diameter,
- wire 0.2 mm in diameter - 90 cm.

We use the technique of three-dimensional beading. Each row consists of two tiers: the upper tiers will form the front part of the Santa and the lower tiers - his back.

First, string the big white bead onto the wire and place it on the middle of the wire.

Then start to make the rows of beads, using the 3-D beading and forming the upper and lower tiers.

Row 1:
The upper tier - string 4 red beads onto either one of the wires.

Cross the other wire through all these beads in the opposite direction.

Pull the wires tight. We've created the upper tier of the first row.

The lower tier - string 4 red beads onto either one of the wires.

Cross the other wire through all these beads in the opposite direction and pull the wires tight.
Place this line below the previous one. We've created the lower tier of the first row.

Side view:

Rows 2 and 3 are identical:
The upper and lower tiers - string 5 red beads for each one.
Don't forget to pull the wires tight after the each step.

Side view at this stage:

Rows 4 and 5 are identical:
The upper and lower tiers - 6 white beads for each one.

Side view:

Row 6:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 1 beige, 1 black, 1 beige, 1 black, 1 beige.
The lower tier - 5 white beads.

Row 7:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 1 white, 1 beige, 1 red, 1 beige, 1 white.
The lower tier - 5 white beads.

Row 8:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 1 red, 4 white, 1 red.

Now we need to make the arms of Santa Claus. String onto either one of the wires the beads in the following sequence: 3 red, 1 white and 2 red.

Hold the last bead by hand and pass the wire through the nearest red bead in the opposite direction.

Pull the wire tight.

String onto the same wire 1 white and 2 red beads

and pass the wire through the first red bead of Santa's arm (which is the closest to his body).

At the other wire make the other arm of Santa  - it is absolutely the same.

Then make the lower tier of the 8th row - 6 red beads.

Row 9:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 1 red, 4 white and 1 red.
The lower tier - 6 red beads.

Row 10:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 2 red, 3 white and 2 red.
The lower tier - 7 red beads.

Row 11:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 3 red, 2 white and 3 red.
The lower tier - 8 red beads.

Row 12:
The upper tier - string the beads onto the wire in the following sequence: 4 red, 1 white and 4 red.
The lower tier - 9 red beads.

Row 13:
The upper and lower tiers - 10 red beads for each one.

Row 14:
The upper and lower tiers - 11 white beads for each one.

Wickerwork is completed. We only need to fixate the wire.
Pass either one of the wires through all the beads of the upper tier of the last row.

Twist together both wires and cut them off.

Hide the tip inside the figure.

Santa Claus is ready!
